My name is Maureen Nevins and my family and I live in Allentown, NJ. My husband and I founded Quality Plus Caterers over 15 years ago. I come from a family of caterers and have been in the industry most of my life. My father started the family catering business over 50 years ago, where I would work with him in the kitchen and the office after school and on the weekends. I watched him and learned the tricks of the trade. He would teach me everything he could knowing that one day I would be running the family business.

My experience began in the back office, meeting with customers, and planning their events from start to finish. I took pride in learning how to pay attention to every detail to perfect each event. It was here that I found a love of speaking with people and helping them plan their special occasion and seeing it through to the end. There is nothing more gratifying than that!

Unfortunately, when my father suffered from a heart attack and was forced to take a step back from work, I had to step up and take his place in the kitchen. It was from then on that I took what I had learned from my father all the years prior and began my full-time career as a caterer. I enjoy being able to be a part of my customers events in all aspects and officially took over the business.

Many of my family members also learned from my father and have started their own catering businesses as well. Most of my sisters and brothers (15 of them!) also helped in my father’s business as we grew up and a few continued in his footsteps, still in the food industry today. We take pride in this long-lasting family tradition and continue this at all our special events from barbeques to weddings and everything in between!
